Making Disciples in the Everyday Stuff of Life
Song of the Week
Memory Verse of the Week
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:9-11)
Last week: Proverbs 4:23
Prayer Requests & Praises
- Pray for the students attending Slope day that they may be prudent in their decisions to engage in certain activities and that they would take care of themselves. Pray for the volunteers that we may be supplied with energy and patience when dealing with the festivities and chaos of Slope Day. Pray for members of the Christian community who are volunteering that day that we would be able to show what Christ love looks like to the Cornell Community.
- Continue to pray for Nepal as the earthquake has impacted many lives. Pray that God will continue to provide resources and support for this country to rebuild what it has loss and rise up. Praise God for the support Nepal has already.
- There has been a shooting at a drawing contest which showed controversial cartoons of Muslim Prophet Mohammad in Texas by two men one of which may have been an ISIS supporter. Please pray for the families affected by this incident and that people will be careful to make quick judgements against Muslim.
In Christ,
Stephen & Jevon
