Vision [2020 – 2021]

Each year at CBS, a new vision is set by the coordinators as a focus and direction for the fellowship. This is determined over time with much prayer, seeking the Lord’s will, and discerning the needs within the fellowship.

Our vision verse for this academic year is 1 Corinthians 1:4-9:

I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge—even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you—so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

With this passage, our vision for CBS is that we can be a fellowship that we continually look toward God with an attitude of thanksgiving and obedience above all else. We can also see in these verses that God truly sustains us and enriches us with many spiritual gifts that we use to serve Him. Moreover, the Lord provides us with faith in Him, something that we especially need during times of uncertainty. Whatever this coming year may bring, we pray that we will fulfill the calling that God has given us at Cornell as well as encourage one another toward a stronger relationship with Him.
